M. Brent Stanley, 57, passed away Monday, October 25, 2010, in Charleston, S.C., following an illness. Mr. Stanley was born April 24, 1953, in Loris, a son of Annie Stanley and the late James Marion Stanley. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Stanley was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War. He was a self-employed salesman for 35 years and enjoyed playing golf. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Cheryl W. Stanley of Loris; his mother, Annie Stanley of Tabor City, N.C.; one son, Jonathan Stanley and his wife, Carla, of Myrtle Beach; one daughter, Stephanie S. Huggins and her husband, Matt, of Conway; two sisters, Trina Lewis and her husband, Larry, of Conway, and Vickie Fogelman and her husband, Eric, of Aberdeen, N.C.; and one grandchild, MacKensie Stanley of Myrtle Beach. The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 27, 2010, from 7 to 9 p.m., at Ward Funeral Home in Loris. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, October 28, 2010 from the Ward Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Jim Collins officiating.
