Cathy C. Collins, 59, wife of John H. Collins for 37 years, passed away peacefully at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born September 10, 1951 in Conway, SC, a daughter of Judy Cooper Causey and the late Dermie Causey. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lou Causey. Mrs. Collins was a 1970 graduate of Conway High. She was employed with UPS for 30 years. She was a member of Forestbrook Baptist Church. Mrs. Collins was a gifted gardener and loved working in her yard. She was an extremely devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law. She loved her family and friends immensely. Survivors including her husband are: one son, Tim Collins and wife, Amy; one daughter, Melanie A. Collins; three beautiful grandchildren, Emma and Brianna Collins, and Elizabeth Burton; one brother, David Causey; one sister, Margaret Sheler. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 7:00 PM at McMillan-Small Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until service time.
