Sadie Marie Port Moore, 91, widow of the late Franklin Benjamin Moore, Jr., died Monday, October 11, 2010 at Conway Manor. Mrs. Moore was born in Pawleys Island, a daughter of the late Joseph Cephus and Isla Mae Wilson Port. She was a member of Waccamaw Presbyterian Church. Prior to retirement, she was employed by South Conway Elementary School for 20 years. Surviving are two sons, Bennie Moore and Wayne Moore, both of Conway; one daughter, Linda Gale Moore Alcantara of Murrells Inlet; four grandchildren, Frankie Moore and wife, Sandy, Sherry Chestnut and husband, Len, Evelyn Cremer and Jacob Cremer; and five great-grandchildren, Colby Chestnut, Madison Moore, Katie Moore, Lauren Turner, and Josh Turner. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, October from Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with the Rev. Marty Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Waccamaw Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
