Cleo Braxton Buffkin, age 79, died Thursday (Oct. 28, 2010) at his home. He was born in Horry County, S.C., the son of the late William Tom Buffkin and Frosty Pridgen Buffkin. He was a self-employed contractor. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Edith B. Buffkin of Green Sea, S.C.; two sons: Kevin (Holly) Buffkin of Osage Beach, Missouri; Michael (Melissa) Buffkin of Green Sea, S.C.; one brother: Defentrice "Dee" (ShelbyJean) Buffkin of Tabor City, N.C. Five grandchildren: Alex, Colin, Ryder, Kailey, and Logan. He was preceded in death by four brothers: Douglas, Delano, Olin and Ethan. A Graveside service will be Saturday (Oct. 30, 2010) at 11 AM in Myrtle Green Cemetery, Tabor City. Visitation is Friday night from 7 until 9 PM at Inman Funeral Home Chapel.
