David Odell Stalvey, Jr., 51, passed away Friday, October 22, 2010 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, N.C. Mr. Stalvey was born July 31, 1959 in Loris, a son of David Odell "Olean" Stalvey, Sr. and the late Brookie Mae Watts Stalvey. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Waccamaw Baptist Church. Survivors include his father, David Odell "Olean" Stalvey, Sr. and his special friend, Joyce Williamson of Longs; one son, David Odell Stalvey, III of Loris; one sister, Reponsa Stalvey of Loris; one brother, Delane Stalvey and his wife, Christa of Longs; two nieces, Shenea Stalvey and Brittany Stalvey; and several special aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 24, 2010 from 7 until 9 p.m. at Ward Funeral Home in Loris. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 25, 2010 at Waccamaw Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Whitner, the Rev. Lindsey Inman, and Mr. Jack Stalvey officiating.
