    1. [SCHORRY] Fwd: Any Hucks in your group?
    2. Dear David and Shirley, seems the two of you are thinking along the same lines right now. I'm out of town until Tuesday and I'm working on my laptop, but when I get home I can send you the email addresses for two Huck researchers who may be able to help. One is a member of the Georgetown District DNA project, but I don't have my passwords for that site. The other is Peter Grimes Hucks. Peter is a member of the SCHORRY mailing list. David, Shirley and I plan to meet you for coffee and meet each other at the same time. Do we have a time and place? Dixie Hi Dixie, I've been struggling to prepare for my drive north which will probably start either Monday or Tuesday and I'll spend some time in Horry County to conduct the research I'm hoping will clear up the roadblock regarding my great grandparents. If there are any Hucks members in the Alford family they might have the information I need because my grandfather's sister Gussie Eva Allen married Eddie Leo Hucks. Gussie's mother is the great grandmother who's name I'm trying to find. There was also an Emma Allen listed on the 1910 census as living in the household of Rebecca Jane Alford Allen, and was listed as her granddaughter. The oldest daughter of Rebecca who was living in the same household was Jane M. Allen and was at a reasonable age to have been their mother. My grandfather never talked about having a sister Emma, or much of anyone else in the family other than his sister Gussie and that his grandmother Rebecca was a mid-wife who spent a lot of time away from home. At least one of my grandfather's aunts living in the household he grew up in was Lizzie Todd, birth name Elisabeth S. Allen. Any of her descendant's may also have some information that might help. I'm also trying to find the location of Noah Todd's farm because my grandfather listed on his WWI draft document as his residence and the farm he worked on as a sharecropper. The youngest children of Rebecca were Martha O. Allen and Oscar G. Allen who also lived in the household according to the 1910 census. Oscar had children who died in the flu epidemic (1929?) and I've been unable to find and of his descendants that survived. I haven't had any luck tracking Martha O. Allen after 1910 either. She was too young to have mothered my grandfather. Thanks for helping out. Dave Do not know if this is meaningful.... but Dave Allen's connection to the Alfords is through Rebecca Jane Alford who married Isaac Allen. She is the daughter of Authur Alford . Rebecca Jane Allen Alford's granddaughter Gussie (daughter of Martha Allen) married Eddie Leo Hucks who is the descendent of my gggrandmother Annie Hucks Johnston. still no dna....... Shirley
