    2. McKeaver James, Sr., age 91, loving husband of the late Eloise Roberts James, for 69 years of the Juniper Bay Community, went home to be with the Lord on Friday morning at his residence after a long illness with his family by his side. Mr. James was born in Horry County, a son of the late Joseph Woodard and Mary Brown James. He was an active member of Juniper Bay Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Secretary, on the Cemetery Committee and was an active member of the Senior Adult Ministry. He was a man of great faith with a special love for his God, country and family. Mr. James was a World War II Army Veteran where he served in the Luzon Theater of Operations in the Philippines. He was a farmer and retired from the Horry County School District. Mr. James was predeceased by a great-granddaughter, Cristen Nichole Daniels; five brothers, Henry James, Pearlie James, Willie James, Joe James and Arthur James; three sisters, Julie Jones, Lillie Harrelson and Laura Edwards. Surviving are; one son, McKeaver James, Jr. and his wife, Mary of Conway; three daughters, Carolyn Daniels and her husband, Winfred and Hilda Johnson and her husband, Grant all of Conway and Saundra Phillips of Murrells Inlet; eleven grandchildren, Harry W. "Buddy" Daniels and his wife, Sheila, James G. "Greg" Daniels and his wife, Jeanie, Margie Daniels Johnson and her husband, Marty, Bradford Daniels, Sharon James Brown and her husband, W.J., June James Causey and her husband, Steve, Kevin James and his wife, Donna, Gina Johnson Hyman and her husband, Doug, Jamie Johnson Gaston and her husband, John, II, Tracey Jordan Bartlette and her husband, Steve, Chad Jordan and Brianna; four step-grandchildren, Jeffery Phillips and his wife, Michelle of Plymouth Meeting, PA, Gregory Phillips and his wife, Deborah of Glen Allen, VA, Stephen Phillips and his wife, Patty of Gainsville, VA, and Mark Phillips and his wife, Jennifer of Conway; seventeen great-grandchildren; eleven step-great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday at Juniper Bay Baptist Church with Rev. Rodney Hord officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
