    2. Palmer C. Johnson, 76, of Johnson Shortcut Road, died Friday, September 24, 2010 at his residence surrounded by his family. Mr. Johnson was born in Conway, a son of the late Burroughs J. and Sarah Hucks Johnson. He was a member of High Point Baptist Church. Mr. Johnson was a U.S. Army Veteran and a retired farmer. Mr. Johnson enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by a sister, Almona Zajewski; and two brothers, Thomas Johnson and Francis Marion Johnson. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Henry Saunders and his staff, and also Agape Hospice Staff for the care they gave him, and to our good friends, Tacy and Tim Bennett for the love and support they gave us. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Erma C. Johnson; two sons, Charles Johnson and wife, Debbie, and Dennis Johnson and wife, Sarah, all of Conway; six grandchildren, Kayla Mackey and husband, Josh, Ashley Grainger and husband, Dwayne, Shelley Johnson, Laurin Johnson, and Kaleigh and Niki Johnson; three great-grandchildren, Chase and Chandler Mackey, and Mackenzie Grainger; three brothers, William J. Johnson of Charlotte, N.C., Paul Johnson and David Johnson, both of Conway; and two sisters, Jacqulin Sellers of Myrtle Beach and Jean Baxley and husband, Doug, of Conway. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, September 26, 2010 at High Point Baptist Church with the Rev. Mack Hutson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday, Septmeber 25, 2010 at the funeral home.
