FLORENCE - Bryan Franklin Martin, 48, of Pamplico, died Wednesday, August 25, 2010 in a Florence hospital after an illness. Bryan was born in Horry County, a son of Irene Enzor Martin Luther and the late H. M. Martin. He graduated from Green Sea Floyd High School in 1980 and from Francis Marion University in 1984. He was a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church where he served as Youth Sunday School Teacher, was on the Youth Committee, the Building Committee, was leader of the Divorce Care Class, and was an Usher. He was a member and past Lay Director of Sea Side Emmaus and was a member of Pamplico Lion's Club. He was an Associate Agent with Nationwide Insurance. He is survived by his mother of Spring Branch, 2 children; Chandler Marie Martin and Joshua Bryan Martin, both of Pamplico; their Mother, Janet Poston Martin of Pamplico; Special Friend, Dawn Hancock and her children, Caroline Rose and Emily Francis Hancock of Florence; 1 sister, Lois Montgomery of Spring Branch; and 1 brother, Gene Martin of Fair Bluff, N.C. He was preceded in death by his father and by a brother, Jimmy Dale Martin. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 27, 2010 in Highland Park United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Red Hill Cemetery in Mullins, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home of Florence. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
