Mrs. Bonnie H. Stalvey, age 93, passed away Saturday, July 31, 2010. Mrs. Stalvey was born May 3, 1917, in Horry County, SC, a daughter of the late Dargain F. Lewis and the late Hattie Todd Lewis. She was a homemaker and a member of the Waccamaw Baptist Church. Mrs. Stalvey was predeceased by her husband, Lewis J. Stalvey, Sr.; three sons, Marsdon Stalvey, L. J. Stalvey, Jr. and Dargain Stalvey; several brothers and sisters; and a granddaughter, Michelle Triplett. Survivors include three daughters, Brookie Stiles of Baltimore, MD, Myirna Akehurst of Bridge City, TX, and Beth Patterson and her husband Donald of Baltimore, MD; two sisters, Cecil Schofill and her husband Harold of Georgia, and Edna Eddins and her husband Louis of West Virginia; two brothers, Robert Lewis and his wife Margie of Florida, and Charles Lewis and his wife Margie of SC; 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 5, 2010, from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Ward Funeral Home in Loris and at other times at the old family home place in the Red Bluff Community. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 6, 2010, at 2:00 PM from the Ward Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mack Hutson officiating. Entombment will follow in the Hillcrest Mausoleum in Conway.
