    2. Betty Rabon Floyd, wife of the late H. Malcolm "Mack" Floyd, died Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Conway Manor after a long illness. Mrs. Floyd was born October 22, 1931 in Horry County, the daughter of the late Jay Carpenter and Phoebe Moore Rabon. Mrs. Floyd was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church and the John McCutcheon Sunday School Class. She was also a member of United Methodist Women, Stilley Walsh Circle. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Betty and her husband, Mack, were former owners of Conway Music Center. She was predeceased by three brothers, Jackie, Barry and Ronald Rabon. Survivors include two sons, Ray A. Floyd and his wife, Deborah, of Myrtle Beach, and Scott M. Floyd and his wife, Kelly, of Murrells Inlet; a daughter, Lana F. Hudson and her husband, Joe W., of Conway; eight grandchildren, Melissa F. Farnsworth, Chad A. Floyd, Hayes, Josh and Colby Hudson, Alex, Colin and Jackson Floyd; six great grandchildren; three brothers, J. C. Rabon, Jr. of Spartanburg, Steve Rabon of Mullins, and Tommy Rabon of Marion. Funeral Services will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, August 26, 2010 at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mac Kinnett and the Rev. Carl Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Thursday, August 26, 2010 at the Hut Bible Class, First United Methodist Church.
