Martha Mildred "Bill" Coats, age 78, of Hwy. 19, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, August 7, 2010. "Aunt Bill" was born in Loris, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Osbie and Martha Gerald Coats. She was a member of Kingston Baptist Church and was a former member of Pleasant Meadow Baptist Church in Loris. "Aunt Bill" loved rocking her baby dolls, reading her Bible and going to church. The family would like to thank the Doctors and staff of Loris Extended Care Center for their loving care of Martha "Bill" Coats. Surviving are one brother, Osbie E. Coats and his wife, Carolyn, of Loris; and one sister, Gladys Lilly and her husband, Claude, of Conway; two nieces, Loretta Hucks and her husband, David, and Phyllis Rhye and her husband, Randy; one nephew, David E. Coats; and a special great niece, Christy Thompson. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, August 9, 2010 at Kingston Baptist Church with Rev. Roger Black and Rev. Rocky Gregory officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Meadow Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
