Henry Lorentus Faircloth, age 80, of Tom Dorman Road passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at his residence following an illness. Mr. Faircloth was born November 13, 1929 in Loris, a son of the late Harry Faircloth and the late Allene Hardwick Faircloth. He served in the United States Army for three years, was a retired Barber and a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Faircloth was a former member of the Langston Baptist Church in Conway for over 40 years. Mr. Faircloth was predeceased by his wife, Hilda Faircloth; a son, Zendell Faircloth; a brother, Wendell Faircloth; a sister, Rachel F. Resca; and a grandson, Michael Lorentus Faircloth, Jr. Survivors include two sons, Michael L. Faircloth, Sr. and his wife, Martha, and Lyle Faircloth and his wife, Wanda, all of Longs; four sisters, Freddie Tripplet and her husband, Carson, of Loris, Vernell Harrelson and her husband, Doris, of Tabor City, N.C., Betty Stokes and her husband, Wayne, of Loris, and Sharon Todd and her husband, Harris, of Longs; two brothers, Larry Faircloth and Horace Faircloth, both of Loris; eleven grandchildren, McGee Faircloth and Ryan, David Faircloth and his wife, Michelle, Rev. Heath Faircloth and his wife, LeeAnn, Chandler Faircloth, Crystal Faircloth, Loranda Faircloth, Nick Woodle and his wife, Sommer, Chase Woodle and his wife, Maryleigh, Brianna Woodle and her husband, Chad, Eric Housand, and Chad Housand and his wife, Michelle; and 21 great-grandchildren. Visitation was held Thursday evening, August 12, 2010, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Ward Funeral Home in Loris. Funeral service will be held today, Friday, August 13, 2010, at 2 p.m. from the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Donnie Graham and the Rev. Heath Faircloth officiating. Burial will follow in the Hardee Cemetery.
