    2. James M. "Jimmy" Stevens, 62, of Madelyn Lane, passed away Saturday, July 31, 2010 at his residence following a illness. Mr. Stevens was born in Horry County, a son of the late James M. and Earlie Mae Vereen Lee. He was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church and was a master carpenter. Mr. Stevens was preceded in death by two brothers, Bliss Lee and Ford Lee; and a sister, Virginia Mishoe. Survivors include his wife, Madelyn Gale Stevens of the home; a daughter, Mary Lou Kelly of Burbank, Calif.; three step-sons, Joey Hardee and wife, Gail, of Conway, Westley Drew Chavous of Conway, and Douglas Patrick Chavous and wife, Bridgett, of Adamstown, Md.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Louie Stevens of Conway, Wilkie Lee of Conway and A.D. Lee of Ohio; five sisters, Geneve Cox of Mullins, Geneve Brown of Monks Corner, Ruby Brown and Jane Hall, both of Conway, and Valarie Valentine of Smithfield, Va. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, August 2, 1010 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Robbin King officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 1, 2010, from 6 until 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
