Carrie C. Guyton, 84, widow of the late Clyde P. Guyton, of Beverly Road, died Monday, August 9, 2010 at Conway Medical Center. Mrs. Guyton was born in Conway, a daughter of the late Hubert and Nettie Cooper. She was a member of Pauley Swamp Baptist Church. She was a life long resident of Horry County. Mrs. Guyton was preceded in death by two sons, Walter Guyton and Terry Gutyon; five brothers, Ronald Cooper, B. Cooper, Grant Cooper, Emerson Cooper, and Price Cooper; five sisters, Bertha Garrett, Mary Rabon, Mazie Rogers, Maddie Jordan, Maggie Jordan; and a grandson, Jason Guyton. Surviving are one son, Dean Guyton and wife, Rene, of Conway; two daughters, Ann Renney and husband, Richard, of Ft. Myers, Fla., Judy Rogers and husband, Vernon, of Indian Land, S.C.; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Guyton of Socastee. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel, with the Rev. Terry Grainger and Terry Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 11, 2010, at the Funeral Home.
