Tommie Moore Turner, Jr., age 76, husband of the late Joan Carol Johnson Turner, of Hwy 67 West, died peacefully at his daughters home in Columbia, S.C., August 9, 2010 after a long illness. Mr. Turner was born on August 16, 1933, a son of the late Tommie Moore Turner, Sr. and Lula Ward Turner. He was a member of Berea Baptist Church. Mr. Turner retired from Horry County Public Works. He was preceded in death by nine brothers, W.A., H.L., Oscar, Eugene, James, Lacy, Thurman, Ernest, and Andrew Turner; and two sisters, Callie T. Jenerette and Doretha T. Shelley. Surviving are one son, Tommie M. Turner, III and wife, Tina, of Loris; one daughter, Theresa Turner-Seaberg and husband, Thomas, of Columbia; four grandchildren, Jason Seaberg, Jennifer Seaberg-Frueauf of Columbia, Ashley Turner of Green Sea and Tommy Franklin Turner of Loris; four great-grandchildren, Emma Seaberg, Victoria and Mallory Ford, and Savannah Grace Frueauf, all of Columbia; and one sister, Elnita T. Rabon. He will be laid to rest 11 a.m. Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Berea Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Jenerette officiating.
