Belva Beck Semones, 70, of Century Street, died Monday, November 8, 2010 at her residence. She was born January 26, 1940 in Mt. Airy, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Otis and Della Kirkman Beck. In additions to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Franklin Semones; two brothers, Archie and Claude Beck; and three sisters, Irene Easter, Brenda Fisher and Ella Mae Pruitt. Belva was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed very much by all who knew her. Mrs. Semones is survived by her three sons, Franklin D. Semones, Jr. (Patti), Steven C. Semones (Ramona) and Matthew S. Semones, all of Myrtle Beach; four brothers, Roscoe Beck (Edith) of N.C., Ralph Beck (Patricia) of N.C., Oscar Beck (Belle) of Va., and Paul Beck (Mable) of N.C.; four grandchildren, Franklin Semones, III, Stevens Semones, II, Natasha Semones and Nicole Semones, all of Myrtle Beach; and many other family and friends who will miss her. A Memorial Service will be held 7 p.m. Thursday, November 11, 2010 at Riverside Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Gerald officiating.
