LORIS - Mary Maggie Hooks, age 93, passed away November 8, 2010, in White Oak Manor in Columbia, S.C. Ms. Hooks was born January 26, 1917, in Loris S.C., a daughter of the late June and Mary Ray Hooks. She was a member of Bayboro Baptist Church. Ms. Hooks was predeceased by three brothers and five sisters. Surviving are one daughter, Mary Ann Herrington of Lugoff, and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 11, 2010, at Bayboro Baptist Church, with funeral service starting at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Paul Alford will be officiating.
