Sheila Hardee Brown, 53, wife of Carl L. Brown, of D Street, died Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston following an extended illness. Mrs. Brown was born in Loris, a daughter of the late Ansell L. and Frances Cox Hardee. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Brown was employed by Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Surviving in addition to her husband of Conway are two sons, Christopher L. Brown, and Eric J. Brown and his fiancee, Donna Sue Soles, all of Conway; two grandchildren, Boone Brown and Carla Brown; and two sisters, Harriet H. Gutknecht and her husband, John, of Fairhope, Alabama, and Priscilla H. Giddens and her husband, Harvey, of Cross, S.C. Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2010 from Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Freddie Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, November 12, 2010.
