LADSON, SC - Joseph "Frank" Bland, age 87, of Ladson, SC, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 20, 2010, at a local hospital. He was born in Conway, SC on November 11, 1923, to the late Sam Bland and Atha Bessie Jordan Bland. He served his country in the United States Navy. He was an avid farmer and gardener. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his daughter, Doris Nettles (Don) of Ladson, SC; son, Jerry Lee Cooper of Ladson SC; sister, Marie Norris (Don) of Ashboro, NC; brothers, Bill Bland of Longs, SC, and Henry Bland (Eleana) of Douglas, GA; grandchildren, Jerry Cooper (Cindy) of CA, Jarold Cumbee (Rebecca) of Ladson, SC, Natalie Davidson (John) of Ladson, SC; great-grandchildren: Tyler and Trenton Cumbee, Brandon and Taylor Cooper, Ashlee and Cameron, and Cooper Davidson, and Chyenne Ross. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 7113 Rivers Avenue North Charleston, SC 29406. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, November 22nd at the funeral home.
