Edsel Hayden Bashor, 88, of Collins Avenue, died Friday, December 10, 2010 at the VA Hospital in Charleston, S.C. Mr. Bashor was born in Tenn., the son of the late Orsa and Louisa Bashor. He was the last surviving boat builder in Murrells Inlet, S.C. He was preceded in death by one brother, Estel Bashor; and two sisters, Velma Padgett and Edith Chapman. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Bashor; sons, Glenn Bashor and his wife, Betty, of Murrells Inlet, and Steve Bashor of Murrells Inlet. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m.Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Belin Memorial United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Larry Medlin officiating.
