Mary Bertha Stevens Tyler, age 90, died Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Loris Community Hospital following an illness. Born January 30, 1920 in Conway, SC, daughter of the late James Stevens and the late Martha Boyd Stevens. Mrs. Tyler was a homemaker and a longtime member of New Hope Baptist Church. Survivors include her son: Jimmy S. Tyler and wife, Carolyn of Conway, SC; daughter: Doris Sohn and husband Martin of Mason Neck, VA; one sister: Louise Tyler of Brooksville, SC; six grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Tyler was predeceased by her parents, her husband: Samuel Junior "June" Tyler, and many loving brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at New Home Baptist Church with committal services following at Stevens Cemetery. Reverend Roger Chestnut will officiate services. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 7, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Hardwick Funeral Home.
