Clyde Clarence Evans, 55, of Conway, died Tuesday, December 21, 2010 in the Conway Medical Center. He was a son of the late Clarence Clifton Evans and Lucille Elizabeth Evans and Betty Johnston. Clyde was employed by A. J.'s Roofing in Conway. Surviving are his wife, Patty Evans; five brothers, Jerry McClain Evans and wife, Ann, of Conway, Danny Evans and wife, Patricia Ann, of Cassatt, Eddie Evans of Columbia, Ralph Evans of Eastover, and Randy Collins of Lexington; three sisters, Mary Diane Peterson and husband, Henry, Betty Jane Spradley and husband, Gary, of Elgin, Teresa Evans Brazell of Davenport, Fla.; one step brother, Ronnie Anderson and wife, Renitia, of West Columbia; one step sister, Louise Hoover and husband, Carl, of South Congaree; and two half sisters, Wendy and Leann Sharp of Charlotte, N.C. He was preceded in death by a son, McClain Evans; daughter, Angela Lynn Evans; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday in the Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel, by Charles Todd. The family will receive friends Thursday, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel, and at other times, the residence of Jerry and Ann Evans.
