Dorothy C. Brigham, 87, of Shetland Lane, Myrtle Beach, S.C., went peaceably to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 19, 2010 after an illness. Mrs. Brigham was born on December 15, 1923 in Aynor, S.C., a daughter of the late Joseph and Inez Martin. She retired from Winn Dixie in 1985. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. She also loved her Church and Church members very much. She attended Kingsway Pentecostal Holiness Church for over 55 years. Surviving are her children all of Myrtle Beach; three sons, Robert E Brigham (Eleanor), Ronnie Brigham (PJ), Richard Brigham; and one daughter, Judy Clardy (Randy). She is also survived by eight grandchildren, including a special grandson, Cory Brigham; Johnny Wood, Stephanie Johnson, Jason Wood, Billy Wood, Ashley Clardy, Nick Clardy and Natalie Kimball; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lois Herring of Marion, S.C. Mrs. Brigham was preceded in death by her husband George D. Brigham; one son, George Brigham Jr.; one grandson, Joey Wood; and her sisters; Mable Roberts, Ruth Martin, Exa Martin, Isla Edwards, Oteein Gasque; and one brother; Joseph Martin. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. The Rev. Wyatt Cook will officiate. Entombment will follow in Hillcrest Mausoleum. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.
