    1. [SCHORRY] Annie Jane Cox Wilson
    2. Annie Jane Cox Wilson, age 78, entered into the presence of the Lord from her home in the Daisy community on Wednesday, November 24, 2010. Mrs. Wilson was the beloved widow of Jim Wilson. She was born October 1, 1932 in Loris, SC, daughter of the late Thomas James Cox and the late Mae Mahaley Porter Cox. Mrs. Wilson worked for many years with Tabor City Sewing Factory and Talon Mfg., as well as farming beside her husband until she retired and cared for him until his death in 1987. Mrs. Wilson was a devoted mother to two children by birth and five children of the heart, which she lovingly raised in the Christian faith. She loved her family and encouraged them to love one another and to stay strong in their love for God, their country and to one another. She loved all and never met a stranger. Survivors include her son: Jimmy Dale Wilson of Loris; her daughter: Wanda Wilson Hughes and her husband, Randall of Conway; three grandchildren: Kaitlyn Wilson, Jolene Harrell and husband, Billy and Jarrett Hughes and wife, Brandy all of Conway and one great-grandchild, Ella Ireland Hughes. She loved and cared for five children of the heart, her nephew and nieces, Billy Cox and wife, Patsy of Conway, Sylvia Fowler and husband, Wayne of Loris, Rachel Sisk and husband, Carl of Mt. Gilead and Carl Cox of Conway and the late Kenneth Cox. She has been Nanny and Grandma to many, Jarrett, Jolene, Kaitlyn, Neil, Scottie, April, Chad, Billy Ray, Tammy, Eric, Amanda, Kevin, Matthew, Wendy and all of their children. We want to acknowledge and express our gratitude to her faithful caregivers, Mary Cannon, Charlene Parker, Myrtle Holmes, Libby Holden and Laura Mae Martin for all of their love and compassion during her sickness, may God Bless each and everyone of them. We would also like to thank each and every employee at the Loris Extended Care Facility who truly represent God's extended hands. Everyone associated with Amedisys Hospice with very special thanks to Nickie Cox and Renee Hill. Also, to her loving Church Family at Macedonia Baptist Church and to all of our friends and extended family for all of their prayers, support and the love shown during this difficult time. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with committal services following at Carter Cemetery. Pastor Bill Thompson will officiate services. Visitation will be Friday, November 26, 2010 from 6 until 8 PM at Hardwick Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Macedonia Baptist Church, 2360 Red Bluff Rd., Loris, SC 29569.
