Geneva Ruth Skipper Smith, 77, widow of James Herbert "Bo" Smith, died Saturday, November 13, 2010 at her home. Born on September 29, 1933 in Conway, she was a daughter of the late Holiday Skipper and the late Magge Gasque Skipper. Mrs. Smith was a member of Bloomingvale Pentecostal Holiness Church. Survivors include three children, Kim Phillips (Buddy) of Andrews, Ellen Carter (Jimmy) of Georgetown, and Franklin Rogers (Diane) of Georgetown; seven grandchildren, Brooke Phillips, David Jaudon Goins, Michelle Parker, Chad Goins, Chase Goins, Sambo Rogers and Austin Phillips; six great-grandchildren, Kirsten Goins, Anna Rogers, Lane Parker, Marion Parker, III, Shonna Carter, and Hunter Fenters; one brother, Raymond Skipper; one sister, Flora Mae Cross of Chadburn, N.C.; three step-grandchildren, Elizabeth Phillips, Roger Phillips, and Joyce Phillips Whalen; and four step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Harley Lavern Alford, Jr.; two brothers, Francis Skipper and Freeman Skipper; and two sisters, Phyllis Moore and Esterlen Lewis. Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at Bloomingvale Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Jack Todd, the Rev. Elmer Lambert, and the Rev. Steve Wilson officiating. Entombment will follow in the Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, November 15, 2010 at Graham Funeral Home.
