Anness C. "Monkey" Brown, 76, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. Born February 14, 1934 in Conway, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Maybelle Williamson Clemons. Mrs. Brown is survived by her children, Gary Brown and Debbie Hicks; brother, Eugene Clemons; grandchildren, Erik Hicks, Leslie Gore, and Corbin Brown; and great grandchildren, Alyssa and Lana Gore and Noah Hicks. She was predeceased by her husband, Franklin H. Brown, who died on August 15, 2010. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, December 6, 2010 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. The family will receive friends following the service in the church narthex. Lee Funeral Home & Crematory of Little River/North Myrtle Beach is serving the family.
