    1. [SCHORRY] Harvey A. Graham, Jr
    2. LONGS - Harvey A. Graham, Jr. passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2010 at home following an extended illness. Harvey was born on April 12, 1944, in Conway to the late Harvey A. Graham, Sr. and Selma Mishoe Graham who survives. He grew up in Loris; and, other than time spent at Clemson and Ocean Drive, resided in Loris and nearby Longs his entire life. He graduated from Loris High School and continued his education at Clemson University. Harvey was president of Graham Brothers Farm Supplies, Carolina Linens Systems, and CBM Broadcasting, Inc. (WVCO, 94.9 The Surf radio station). A former member of the Loris Lions Club, Harvey served his community as a member of the Horry County Planning Commission, chairman of the advisory committee of the Grand Strand Water and Sewer Authority, SC board of directors of BB&T, and as a founding board member of Coastal Carolina Beach Music Hall of Fame. In addition, he was a member of First Baptist Church in North Myrtle Beach. Harvey loved Carolina Beach Music and the Clemson Tigers! His vision and enthusiasm for both were strong and apparent to all who knew him. He supported every aspect of the Carolina Beach Music industry, as evidenced by the recent Industry Appreciation Award bestowed upon him and Selene at the 2010 Carolina Beach Music Awards. Harvey and Selene were both members of the Ocean Drive Shag Club as well as the Anderson Shag Club. Harvey supported his beloved Clemson University in the same way…with everything he could possibly offer, from broadcasting the Tigers' football and basketball games on 94.9 the Surf to being a Horry County representative of IPTAY, the athletic booster club of Clemson that provides scholarships to student athletes as well as funding for campus athletic facilities. Both groups have lost a true visionary and leader and leave a trail of friends and employees that grieve his passing. His wife, Selene Harkey Graham, who faithfully took care of Harvey and granted his desire to pass away at home, survives. Other survivors include his sons Harvey Graham III and wife Paige of Loris, Perrin Graham and wife Teresa of Loris, Russ Yates and wife Molly of Marietta, Georgia, and four grandchildren: Harvey 'Grayson' Graham, IV, Hunter Graham, Kayla Graham and Tristen Graham. In addition to his father, his son Will Yates predeceased Harvey. Selene wishes to thank Incare Hospice and caregivers Brenda, Barbara and Darlene for the excellent care they provided. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Loris First Baptist Church with committal services following at Twin City Memorial Gardens in Loris. Dr. Larry Turner and Dr. John Gambrell will officiate services. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 21, 2010 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Hardwick Funeral Home, and at other times at the home of Mr. Harvey and Mrs. Selene in Longs, SC. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of North Myrtle Beach Building Fund, 200 Hwy. 17 South, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582.
