Randell Wayne "Randy" Johnson, 54, husband of Debbie Johnson, died Sunday, November 21, 2010 after an illness. Randy was born March 19, 1956 in Mullins, a son of the late Ebb Johnson and the late Belle Jones. He was a retired construction worker. Randy, who was proud of his military service, was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Viet Nam era. Surviving Randy in addition to his wife are two stepchildren, Candace Murtaugh and Timothy Page; a grandchild, Cheyenne Murtaugh; his sisters and brothers, Shelby Jean Herring of Tabor City, N.C., Shirley D. Mishoe of Pensecola, Fla., Joseph F. Johnson of Loris, Winnie J. Wise of Lake City, James Brooks Johnson of Galivants Ferry and Roger Dale Johnson of Lake Alfred, Fla.; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Randy was predeceased by a brother, Henry Lester Johnson; and a sister, Corine Lewis. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at the Chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home, with the Rev. Maxie Hardee officiating. Burial will follow in Berea Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, November 23, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Published in The Sun News on November 23, 2010
