Jim Johnson, 85, husband of Evelyn Collins Johnson, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2010 at Marion County Medical Center. Mr. Johnson was born in Horry County, August 8, 1924, a son of the late Preston Leroy and Florrie Renora Collins Johnson. He was a member of Happy Home Baptist Church and was predeceased by two brothers; one sister; and one great granddaughter. Mr. Johnson is survived by his three sons, Barry Johnson and his wife, Wanda, of Conway, Greg Johnson of Aynor, and Mike Johnson and his wife, Shirley, of Prosperity, S.C.; one daughter, Betty Gregg and her husband, Daniel, of Conway; one brother, James Johnson of Longs; two special grandchildren, Kim Johnson and Tonya Bellamy; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and four step great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Happy Home Baptist Church with the Rev. Wendell Ray and the Rev. Chris Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at the funeral home.
