HAMER - Services for Jack Mew will be held Wednesday at 4: 00 P.M. in the Hamer Church of God with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation is 7-9 Tuesday in Cooper Funeral Home. Mr. Mew, 87, died Monday in the Pines Nursing Home. Born in Horry County, June 29, 1923, he was the son the late James Avanda Mew and Frances Stalvey Mew. He was a member of Hamer Church of God, taught sunday school for many years, and retired from Pargas. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Mabel B. Mew of Hamer; daughter, Jackie (Tommy) Lambert of Georgetown; step daughter, Phyllis Ann Saunders of Charlotte, N.C.; sons, James Mew, Harold (Bonnie) Mew, and Mark (Faith) Mew of Dillon, Donald (Ruth) Mew of Blooming-dale, GA., and Byron (Pam) Mew of Myrtle Beach; step son, Gene (Cathy) Baxley of Dillon; sisters, Hylia Stal-vey, Nina Ree Lee, and Elizabeth Jones of Myrle Beach; 22 grandchildren, 33 Great Grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Byrd Mew, 2 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 4 brothers, and 4 sisters. Memorials may be made to:Dillon Camp of Gideons, P.O.
