Juanita "Neat" R. Johnson, 83, wife of the late Rev. Grover L. Johnson and Jimmy Rabon, passed away July 21, 2010 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Johnson was born May 4, 1927 in Aynor, S.C., a daughter of the late George M. and Nancy Johnson Rabon. She was a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church where she was active in the WMU, Choir, and Sunday School. Mrs. Johnson loved her church and was a great soul winner, prayer warrior and encourager to all she met and was always willing to serve others. She appreciated the love and care received from her family, friends and caregivers. She was predeceased by 12 siblings. Surviving Mrs. Johnson are five sons, Junior (Pat) Rabon, Bill (Linda) Rabon, and Palmer (Lisa) Rabon, all of Aynor, Grover "Joe" (Kim) Johnson, Jr. of Goose Creek, Tony (Allison) Johnson of Aynor; five daughters, Marilyn(Wayne) Rabon, Margaret (E.J.) Skipper, Miriam (Steve)Owens, Lois Rabon Martin, all of Aynor, Diana (Gene) Abercrombie of Goose Creek; two sisters, Guilea Rabon, Mary Jackson. both of Aynor; fifteen grandchildren, Joy Harrelson, Penny Skipper, David Owens, Michael Rabon, Jenny Ray, Adam Rabon, Magan Benton, Brooke Rabon, Blake Rabon, Lee Johnson, Krystle Johnson, Gene Abercrombie, Jonathan Abercrombie, T.J. Johnson, Kendyl Johnson; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Pleasant Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Dock Rabon and Rev. Stevie Baker officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2010 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
