Genevie Suggs Parks, age 63, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at her home following a sudden illness. Mrs. Parks was born November 1, 1946 in Conway, a daughter of the late Audey Orby Suggs and the late Lucile S. Suggs. She was a member of New Home Baptist Church #1 and was predeceased by one sister, Daphine Cannon, and one brother, Lynwood Suggs. Survivors include her husband, Thomas Marshall Parks, Sr. of Loris, one son, Timothy Mark Thompson of Conway, three stepdaughters, Diane C. Robinson and her husband, Robbie, of Camden, Pat Todd and her fiancé, Roger Wise, of Loris, and Toni Baird and her husband, Steve, of Lenoir, N.C., one stepson, Thomas Marshall "Tommy" Parks, Jr. and his wife, Leslie, of Charleston, seven step-grandchildren, and six step-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday, July 30, 2010, from 6 until 8 p.m., at Ward Funeral Home in Loris. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 31, 2010 from the Ward Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Thompson officiating.
