    2. Mrs. Lurene Causey Phipps, age 63, died Tuesday evening, June 29, 2010 at Loris Community Hospital following an illness. Born June 11, 1947 in Loris, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Maston "Mack" Causey and the late Mattie Laura Coleman Causey. Mrs. Causey was a homemaker, a retired farmer, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include her husband, Robert C. Phipps, Jr. of the home; one son, Randall C. Phipps and wife, Ann, of Loris, S.C.; two daughters, Gina Phipps Anderson and husband, Jody, of Loris, S.C., and Robbie Ash Munden and husband, Michael, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two sisters, Bonnie Soles and husband, Brice, and Susan "Sue" Cartrette all of Loris, S.C.; four grandchildren, Carmen, Chris, Madison and Reid; and a special sister-in-law, Jeanette Phipps Rentz of Loris, S.C. Mrs. Phipps was predeceased by her parents; one daughter, Lisa Anne Phipps; one granddaughter, Alexis Grey Davis; four brothers, Otis Wayne Causey, Lewis Milton Causey, James Shelton Causey, and Leverne Causey; and one sister, Mattie Causey. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Friday, July 2, 2010 at Macedonia Baptist Church with committal services following at Holly Hill Cemetery. Pastor Bill Thompson and Reverend Jimmy Caines will officiate services. Visitation will be held Thursday July 1, 2010, from 6 until 8 p.m., at Hardwick Funeral Home.
