    2. Janie H. Alford, age 62, of Pee Dee Hwy., went home to be with her Lord Wednesday, July 14, 2010. Mrs. Alford was born in Southern Pines, N.C., a daughter of the late Louis M. and Eleanor Cameron Honeycutt. She was a member of High Point Baptist Church and was employed by Tire Town in Myrtle Beach. Mrs. Alford was formerly employed with the Horry County School District. She was an inspiration to everyone she came in contact with and she loved her husband, children and grandchildren. Mrs. Alford was predeceased by a brother, Louis M. "Skip" Honeycutt. Surviving are her husband, Lanier Alford of Conway; two daughters, Terri Alford Poston and her husband, Mike, of Conway and Dayna Alford Irby and her husband, Billy, of Matthews, N.C.; one son, Jamie Alford of Myrtle Beach; six grandchildren, Wesley Poston, Emily Poston, Haylee Poston, Jay Alford, Banks Irby and Garrett Irby; one sister, Kay Honeycutt of Southern Pines, N.C.; a sister-in-law, Lavina Honeycutt of Southern Pines, N.C. and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, July 18, 2010 at High Point Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Winburn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
