Fay D. Martin, 87 of Conway died Monday, July 5, 2010 in the Conway Manor Nursing Home. A native of Conway, Mrs. Martin was the widow of the late Dennis L. Martin,Jr., a daughter of the late Leo Ellis and Josie Fay Harper Dusenbury and was preceded in death by a son, Stephen C. Martin, Sr. and brothers, Leo Dusenbury and Bill Dusenbury. She was a graduate of Winthrop University and taught in the Horry County School System for over 30 years. She was a member of the Union United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and the XYZ of Union United Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Jeannie Dusenbury and husband Zack of Conway; a sister, Sadie Martin of Myrtle Beach, three grandchildren, Cavin Martin, Brandon Martin, and Julie Poster, and a great grandson, Zachary Poster. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM in the Union United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Pam Blankenship. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday in the Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.
