Leo Wayne Jordan, 72, of Sterritt Swamp Road, died Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at his residence. He was born November 27, 1937 in Georgetown County, the son of the late Jessie G. and Katie Richardson Jordan. In additions to his parents, he was also predeceased by his brothers, Tommy, Bill, Arthur, Frank and Jessie Jordan; and sisters, Catherine Russ and Vivian Askew. Leo was a loving husband for fifty-two years and loving father and grandfather. He was a member of Grand Strand Baptist Church and a greeter for ten years. He enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his wife, Bessie Jeanette Jordan of the home; two daughters, Karen Hucks (Tommy) of Conway and Elizabeth Ann Irvin of Surfside; one sister, Louise Powell of Myrtle Beach; one grandson, Michael Hucks; and many other family and friends who will miss him. The family will receive friends at Watson Funeral Services from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, July 30, 2010. Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Grand Strand Baptist Church with Rev. Freddie Young officiating. Burial will follow in Juniper Bay Baptist Church Cemetery.
