Ernest Robinson, 88, died Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Conway Medical Center. Mr. Robinson was born in Conway, a son of the late Willie A. and Ida Williams Robison. He was a member of Greewood Baptist Church. Mr. Robinson was a US Navy Veteran in WWII and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy E. Robinson. Surviving are three sons, Davie Robinson and wife Mindy of Jacksonville, FL, Wayne Robinson and wife Jean of Myrtle Beach, and William Robinson and wife Joann of Conway; three daughters, Ernestine Beverly, Mary Alice Lawrimore and husband Stephen, and Helen Alford and husband Myron all of Conway; 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; one sister, Nettie Ruth Johnson of Georgetown; two brothers, Purlie Robinson and wife Naomi of Conway, and Willie B. Robison and wife Marie of Wilmington; and a special friend Hilda Anderson of Conway. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday at Greenwood Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Krieg officiating. Burial will follow in Pauley Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
