CONWAY - David R. Brown Sr., 85, died June 18, 2010 at Richard Campbell Nursing Home in Anderson, SC. He was born June 12, 1925, in Conway, SC, the son of the late Thomas Charles Brown and Rebecca (Allie) Brown. He was the youngest of four siblings. He was a longtime resident of West Columbia and Lexington, SC. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was a veteran of the Battle of the Bulge and former P.O.W. He was preceded in death by his wife Bethany Brown; brothers, Bill Brown, Kelly Brown; and sister, Sadie Brown. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, David R. Jr and Kristine Brown of Canton, GA. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 21, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will be receiving family and friends at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway, SC, on Sunday, June 20, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 pm.
