Mrs. Tammy S. Grainger Coats, age 46, died Saturday, June 5, 2010 at her home following a sudden illness. Born August 23, 1963 in Loris, SC she was the daughter of the late Mr. Rufus Harvey Grainger and the late Mrs. Jennie Strickland Grainger. Mrs. Coats was a graduate of Loris High School, a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, a homemaker, and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Survivors include her husband Dennis Ray "Bulldog" Coats of the home; one son: Colby Ray Coats of Loris, SC: one daughter: Bridget Denise Coats Davis and husband Cory of Loris, SC; one granddaughter: Brianna Olivia Davis of Loris, SC; five sisters: Santa Maria Grainger, Judy Canady and husband Lynn, Glenda Martin and husband Larry, Cathy English and husband Wayne, and Veronica Grainger, all of Loris, SC; her In-laws: Reece & Lois Coats of Loris, SC; and many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, June 7, 2010 at Pleasant Meadow Baptist Church with committal services following at Pleasant Meadow Cemetery. Pastor Rocky Gregory and Reverend Bill Thompson will officiate services. Visitation will be Sunday June 6, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Hardwick Funeral Home.
