Virginia Harrelson Colgate 84, wife of S.E. Colgate, passed away, Friday, June 4, 2010. She was born November 29, 1925, in Horry County, SC. Her two sisters; Juanita "Pete" Winburn and Marie Skelett pre-deceased her. Survivors include her husband of sixty-four years; S.E. Colgate, her four children; Samuel Edward Colgate and his wife Becki of Conway, SC, Kathryn Lee Colgate Ralston of Durham, NC, James Thomas Colgate and his wife, Judy B. of Gastonia, NC and Paul Wesley Colgate of Myrtle Beach, and by her 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, June 7, 2010, at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Timmerman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, PO Box 1367, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577.
