    1. [SCHORRY] John "Johnny" Monroe Squires
    2. John "Johnny" Monroe Squires age 81, died Monday, June 21, 2010 at Waccamaw Community Hospital. Born in Horry County, he was a son of the late Frank and Pauline Squires. Mr. Squires was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was a founding member of Grand Strand Water and Sewer Authority Board. Mr. Squires was an avid hunter. He is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Heather Pauline Squires. Survivors include his wife, Ina Mae Squires of Murrells Inlet; sons, John Keith Squires (Kathleen) of Socastee and Chip Squires (Shelly) of Murrells Inlet; daughters, Gwen Murray (Kevin) of Surfside Beach and Terri Jordan (Carnice Lambert) of Socastee; ten grandchildren, James Paul Jordan III, John Kelly Jordan, Jonathan Keith Squires, Madison Nicole Squires, Haleigh Rose Squires, James Patrick Murray, Kaitlin Michelle Murray, Taylor Lane Suggs, Grayson Shelby Squires and Jackson Monroe Squires; three great-grandchildren, Heather Elaine Jordan, Riley Crystal Jordan and Mary Charlotte Jordan; a foster son, Shane Smith of Socastee; a brother, James Lamar Squires (Annette) of Aynor and a sister, Mary Catherine Roberts of Aynor. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel with Reverend Robert Hayes officiating. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Mausoleum. Family will receive friends from 6:00-9:00 PM Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at the funeral home.
