MARION - Fred Barnhill, 61, died Monday, June 21, 2010 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence. Mr. Barnhill was born September 27, 1948 in Horry County. He was a truck driver and was co-owner of B&B Stables. He loved farming, working with animals, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Barnhill and a brother, Aubrey Barnhill. Mr. Barnhill is survived by his mother, Ruth Barn-hill of Mullins; his wife, Judy Hardee Barnhill of Marion; two sons, Fred Barnhill, Jr. of Dillon and Bryan Barnhill of Marion; two daughters, Denise (Glenn) Coates of Latta and Frances (Ira) Hicks of Latta; three brothers, A.W. Barn-hill of Mullins, J.K. Barnhill of Charlotte, N.C., and Johnny Barnhill of Mullins; four sisters, Pauline Cooke of Mullins, Hazel (Henry) Jackson of Dillon, Eloise Stevens of Mullins, and Ernestine (Nelson) Jones of Marion, and seven grandchildren, Samantha Hicks, Bobby Roberts Jr., Caitlin Roberts, Ira Hicks, Jr., Tyler Hicks, Bryan Barnhill Jr., and Bryce Barnhill. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Meares Funeral Home in Mullins, South Carolina. Burial will follow at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
