    3. (obituary for William H. Singleton by his son and daughter-inlaw) On May the 11th, 1930, the death angel visited our home and took from us our loving husband and father, Billie Singleton. He had been in failing health for some time, which finally confined him to bed with paralysis. All was done that loving hands and Dr. Scarborough could do, but God knew best and took him home to rest. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife and eight children. A precious one from us is gone, a voice we loved is stilled, a place is vacant in our home which never can be filled. In the graveyard sweetly sleeping, where the flowers gently wave, lies the one we love so dearly, in a lone and silent grave. Time can not heal our wounded hearts, or fill the vacant chair. We miss your dear loving face, we miss you everywhere. He is sleeping, sweetly sleeping in his new made grave today while we are weeping, sadly weeping for our loved one gone away. Farewell now, but not forever, there will be a glorious dawn, we shall meet to part no never on that resurrection morn. The golden gate were open, a gentle voice said come, and with fairwell unspoken, he calmly entered home. Mr and Mrs. Murry Singleton
