Hi! I'm new to the list, looking for any information about LITCHFIELDs in Horry County around 1800 - 1830. I'm trying to find out who were the parents of Metzger/Melzer LITCHFIELD and his brothers, William, Joseph, and Jesse, all born in SC 1797-1810. Any LITCHFIELD researchers out there? These Litchfield brothers migrated to Alabama in the 1830s. Metzger eventually settled in Baldwin County, AL, and the others went to Texas, I think. Also, does anyone know for whom or what Litchfield Plantation and Litchfield Beach were named? They are both in SC, below Myrtle Beach. Just curious. I will appreciate any responses to this query.
