Bruce Richardson and Jo Church Dickerson, This sounds like you are both tracking one and the same G.W. Richardson and wife Elizabeth Thompson. This is what mailing lists are all about! And I thank both of you for the exciting conversations on this family! Great work! My Thomas Richardson, if he is part of this family, drifted into Rankin County, MS where he is found in the census of 1850. There is another family of SC Richardsons in MS about that time that I'm attempting to connect also. (James Madison Richardson, born SC 1810 married to Martha Gooch). That family was in Rankin, Scott, Hinds and Choctaw Counties, MS just prior to 1850. My Thomas Richardson married Sarah Elizabeth Parker from Wayne County, MS. Jo, have you looked in those counties for your any of your Thompson names? The fact that John Thompson may have remarried and gone to Choctaw Co MS is interesting to me. Long stretch, yes, but stranger things have happened. Bruce, it sounds like your G.W. Richardson fairly much stayed in and around the Marion County, SC area. My grandfather said they made several trips back to SC when he was a young child to visit some of his father's (Thomas) family. Apparently two of Thomas Richardson's brothers and family were there. Let me know what you think. Amy McCroskie Denver, CO
