I am looking for Margaret J. Cox born about 1824. She married Cleland Cockfield in Williamsburg County. Does anyone know who Margaret Cox is and where she is from? Marci-Jo Mishoe Charleston, SC

Marci-Jo, While I have several Margaret Coxes, I don't have any of them married to Cleland Cockfield. Most of my Coxes are in Columbus County, NC and Horry County, SC. While that is close enough to Williamsburg County to be connected I don't have anything to connect her. Usually the marriage took place in or near the Bride's home. Have you checked Williamsburg County records for the period 1830-45? I'll certainly keep an eye out for her and let you know if I find her. I know there are Mishoes in Horry County and have some information on Michau (the Huguenot emigrants into the Charleston area. Let me know if I can be of further help.
