To all the Singleton Researchers, I found this last night while looking up some obituaries in the Field and Herald. Adeline Singleton Jordan ties into the O.H.P. Singleton family somehow a sister, a daughter, or a niece. I remember Princess asking about this Mary Jordan Martin. Field & Herald December 31, 1969 Mary Jane Jordan Martin daughter of Solomon and Adeline Singleton Jordan died December 27, 1969 at a local hospital. She lived in the High Point Section of Horry County and was a member of the High Point Baptist Church. She was buried December 29, 1969 at High Point Baptist Church Cemetery. Surviving are three sons: Frank Hayes Martin of Conway, James Clarence Martin of Conway, Lonnie Martin of High Point, NC. One daughter: Mrs. Gussie Todd of Conway. I looked back in some of my other files and I had the obituary for Frank Hayes Martin: Field & Herald November 28, 1973 Frank Hayes Martin retired farmer, age 65 (though it conflicts with the 1898 date perhaps it was 1908) died November 24, 1973 in a Mullins, SC hospital. He attended High Point Baptist Church and was buried in the church cemetery November 26, 1973. He was born 1898 in Horry County the son of Joseph Franklin and Mary Jane Jordan Martin. Surviving are the widow: Ruth Hucks Martin. Two sons: Hoyt Lee Martin of Gresham, Howard Martin of Conway. Two daughters: Mrs. Donnie Lewis of Myrtle Beach, Mrs. Charles Mackey of Florence. One Sister: Mrs. Gussie Todd of Conway. Two half brothers: Curley Martin of Charleston, SC, Billy Martin of Conway. Two half sisters: Mrs. Corinne Davis of Conway, Mrs. Albertine Queen of Wilmington, NC. I don't mean to mislead anyone the above obituaries are not word for word, but just my gleanings.
