McCracken, "Item Eight. I hereby nominate and appoint my esteemed friend Larkin F. Hughes to be the executor of this My Will, and if he should died before fully executing the same, then I appoint my friend William A. Spivey as Executor thereof, and I desire that the said Spivey become the Guardian of the interest...and estate of my minor children. In witness whereby I have hereinafater set my hand and Seal this the fourth day of April, A.D. Eighteen Hundred and seventy-six....Children of James B. and Elizabeth E. McCracken: 1. Ann Rebecca McCracken Hendricks, [b. 1858 (wife of Robert O. Hendrix)] 2. Robert B. McCracken (deaf and Dumb) b. ca 1860 3. James Franklin McCracken, 1863 - by 2/9/1884 4. James B. Taken from Courthouse Records of the County of Horry, SC: "1850 Larkin F. Hughes Bk. L, page 453, Mar. 24, 1847, $170.00 for 278 A. N.E. Side of Potato Bed Ferry Road, and from J. J. Kirton, Sheriff, Grantor, Bk. L, page 454, June 1849, $5.00 for title to interest in Land on Hunting Swamp to James McCracken." This book has many Anns listed and it's obvious that this is the family that Larkin Hughes was related to. I bought the book recently so you should be able to get it. You may be able to get a copy of the deed from Horry County, but if not the S.C. Archives should have it and will make a copy for you very reasonably.
