As you requested. Bert Allen Jr. SURFSIDE BEACH - Bert Allen Jr., 67, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2000, at home. He was born in Trenton, N.J., a son of the late Bert Allen Sr. and Beatrice Walmsley Allen. He was a resident of the Trenton area for most of his life and he lived in South Carolina for the past three years. He was a sergeant with Ewing Township Police Department for 29 years before retiring 14 years ago. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge No. 83, Trenton Cyrus Lodge No. 5 F & AM, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite-Valley of Trenton, Shrine Crescent Temple, New Jersey State Retired Police and Firemans Association, S.C. Sheriffs Association, life member of Pennington Road Fire Co., American Legion Post 314, Benevolent Protective Order of the Elks Trenton Lodge No. 105 and Moose Lodge No. 2351. Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Pettit Allen; two sons, Scott Allen and his wife, Robin, of Ewing Township, N.J., and Bert Allen III and his wife, Anne, of Virginia Beach, Va.; two daughters, Carol Spitz and her husband, Fred, of Pennington, N.J., and Holly Hart and her husband, Ronald, of Yardley, Pa.; a brother, Richard Allen of Yardville, N.J.; eight grandchildren, Kelly, Megan and Eric Allen, and Craig and Allison Pesta, Samuel, Rebecca and Matthew Hart; and several nieces and nephews.
